Sneha has been born and brought up in Muscat in the Persian Gulf, to Indian immigrants parents of Devadiga community from Mangalore. Later she moved to Mumbai with her mother and attended Durelo Convent High School and later studied at MMK College. She caught the public's attention when she was in grade 8 school, when they noticed her uncanny resemblance to Miss World Aishwarya Rai. And also at college she befriended Arpita Khan, her college mate and the younger sister of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The friendship led to the chance meeting with Salman Khan and film offers.
Ullal made her movie debut in the 2005 Hindi movie "Lucky: No Time for Love" across Salman Khan. After that she appeared in a movie with Khan's brother Sohail Khan in Aryan, which did not do well in the box office. Her Telugu debut film Ullasamga Utsahamga was huge hit and she became so popular in south.
